Hepatitis C Index
Hepatitis C Index Friday, October 5th, 2012The National Minority Quality Forum has launched the Hepatitis C Index to help health-care practitioners, policy makers, advocacy groups and industry identify and quantify hepatitis C geographically and by age, gender and race/ethnicity.
This internet-based resource enables users to map hepatitis C prevalence, total counts and hospitalization rates at the zip-code level nationally as well as within individual states, counties and federal and state legislative districts.
In addition to mapping hepatitis C prevalence, total counts and hospitalization rates overall, the index maps by age, gender and race/ethnicity. Index users may generate color-coded maps of hepatitis C prevalence, total counts and hospitalizations rates for downloading, printing, and dissemination to support educational and advocacy initiatives.
