Dr. Neal Young talks about the importance of conducting and participating in clinical trials and the difference these studies have made in the lives of people with rare blood and bone marrow diseases such as aplastic anemia.
 


 

In this video, Neal Young, M.D., chief of the Division of Intramural Research’s Hematology Branch at the NHLBI, shares insight about the importance of conducting clinical trials, some of the benefits of participating in a trial, and a discovery his team made in 2011 about treating the rare blood disease aplastic anemia.
